Fragrance Lamps and Oils

Introduced in 2006 in the Ne’Qwa Collection were fragrance lamps and tealight holders---and they just might have been my favorite new item for 2006. Crafted with the same exquisite detail as their art and ornaments, and designed by well-known American artists, they make a gift that will be as memorable as it is beautiful.

Ne’Qwa Art: A Centuries-Old Tradition

As the world’s leading manufacturer of reverse hand-painted glass, Ne’Qwa Art begins with the highest grade of optically clear glass tubes that are heated and mouth-blown into our signature shapes. Ne’Qwa glass is lighter in weight and more transparent allowing them to showcase the hand-painted art in intricate detail. The superior clarity of the glass brings out the color and brilliance of each design. Through the small opening in the glass, the skilled Ne’Qwa artisans use delicate brush strokes to hand-paint on the inside of the glass. From outlining to shading to color application, all work is painstakingly done in freehand. This reverse-painting art form flourished in the 17th century and has been passed down through generations. Today, Ne’Qwa Art has kept this rare art form alive by assembling their own studio with artists who specialize in this centuries-old tradition.

Ne’Qwa brings this art tradition to a new level with the addition of licensed art from a variety of renowned artists. The carefully chosen artists offer stunning diversity of subject matter. Ne’Qwa Art’s distinguised artists have buit a following of fans worldwide who recognize their distinctive styles.

Fragrance Lamps, Tealight Lamps, Mantle Piece and Ornament….all by Ne’Qwa…all beautiful.
