Deck the Halls

2014 Deck the Halls with Seneca Lake Wineries…and The Christmas House

The 2014 event will be held on TWO separate weekends, November 121–23 and December 5–7, 2014. Ticket holders will go to your assigned starting winery and begin a weekend of fun and festivities while sampling holiday wines and food tastings. The wineries are decorated for the holiday season. Over the two day weekend event, visit the participating wineries, receive a recipe book and collect ornaments to decorate your handmade grapevine wreath. These events are both co-sponsored by The Christmas House, located in nearby Elmira, NY.

EACH TICKET includes a grapevine wreath and recipe book, to be picked up at your starting winery, then enjoy decorating your Christmas wreath with a unique ornament from each winery you visit (couples ticket share). Over 30 wineries are participating this year!

EACH PERSON receives a food and wine pairing at each participating winery. With the recipe book you will be able repeat the delectable wine/food combinations at home, introducing your friends and family to the pairings you most enjoyed!

November 21–23, 2014 OR December 5–7, 2014

Times Friday, 1–5 p.m., Saturday & Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (2–1/2 day event)

You can go any one day, or come out for the whole weekend!

Tickets do not include lodging or transportation. Limited weekend packages with lodging and transportation included are available.

Ticket orders will be securely processed by Seneca Lake Wine Trail’s partner site Eventbrite. They will email you a receipt only. The purchaser must visit their chosen starting winery, show photo ID with the purchasers name, to pick up actual card stock tickets. The document emailed to you by Eventbrite does not qualify as your ticket and wineries will require that you have your actual cardstock ticket before you can begin enjoying this event. Furthermore, because of this, it is even more important that groups of attendees purchase their tickets on one order, to guarantee that all attendees will have the exact same starting winery. Lastly, bundles of tickets can only be picked up by the person who purchased them. If you have any questions about our e-ticketing system, please call the Seneca Lake Wine Trail office during regular business hours at 877–536–2717.

Tickets purchased are not refundable, exchangeable or changeable and the winery you chose to start at when purchasing your tickets cannot be altered. Seneca Lake Wine Trail events are never cancelled.

There is a trail-wide special event policy for ticket holders attending these weekend events that as long as you travel in a group of 23 or less people, you will not need to make an appointment at the participating wineries. However as of 2013, we no longer accept large groups of 24 or more people during either weekend of Deck the Halls.

Each attendee will enjoy a complimentary sample of the dish served by the winery, paired with a sample of wine intended to complement that dish best. With so many wineries participating in our events, attendees oftentimes visit many wineries in a day, therefore entire flights of wine samples are not served by each winery during the event.

Our 2014 co-sponsor for both Deck the Halls Weekend events, for the 6th consecutive year, is Elmira New York’s very own Christmas House! The Christmas House, located only about 40 minutes from the southern tip of Seneca Lake is a truly unique destination unto itself.
